Liam James Music School offers personalised one-on-one guitar lessons in both acoustic and electric guitar. Lessons are structured according to the student’s skill level, learning pace, music taste and goals, lessons can be either formal or informal. Formal lessons include music theory and progress a learner from beginner to intermediate to advanced, while a more informal approach focuses on teaching and honing the skills needed simply to play your favourite pieces.

If you are not the commitment type, we offer a lesson by lesson option at the cost of R375 per 1-hour lesson payable upfront. Please note that although we will make every effort to accommodate your desired time slot, bulk lesson bookings are given priority.
Interested in giving the guitar a good go, but want to to take it one month at a time? Choose our Starter Pack option and get 4 x 1-hour lessons for R1100 (R275 per lesson) payable upfront.
Serious about learning to play the guitar and ready to make a commitment to improving your skills? Get our best hourly rate when you choose our Term Pack for only R2200 (R220 per lesson) for 10 1-hour lessons payable upfront.
Do you have a group of friends who want to learn to play the guitar with you? Then get great value with our group lesson for R500 per 1-hour lesson (max four students). Please note all students need to be at the same skill level.
Lessons can take place in the comfort of your home (5kms no charge, R3 per km thereafter) or at our studio in Table View, Cape Town.
